Rasheed Bailey
“Show Time Sheed” is a player that has impressed in his short time in Philadelphia, drawing the praise of the coaching staff in the process. Bailey has lived up to his “show time” moniker during camp, making a number of highlight reel grabs and appearing more polished than you might expect from an UDFA out of Delaware Valley University. Chip Kelly himself has remarked that for such a small-school prospect, Bailey hasn’t looked the least bit starry-eyed since joining the squad.
Bailey has grabbed the attention of viewers and the staff, however, his roster odds will likely hinge on the other depth options at receiver. Riley Cooper and Miles Austin are both tentatively expected to make the roster, however, to this point Cooper remains uninvolved in the offense, and Austin lends very little special teams value. Seyi Ajirotutu meanwhile, has been unimpressive during games, but remains a core special teamer. It’s possible that Bailey sticks, but he’ll have to convince that he deserves to get the nod over one of the aforementioned three to do so.
