The Philadelphia Eagles open their season on Monday night football against the Atlanta Falcons, which looks to be a good matchup for the Eagles out the gate. After an impressive preseason which caught the attention of many around the league, the Eagles come into this game with high hopes for themselves offensively and defensively this season and look to get going early on.

The Falcons however look to rebound after two straight losing season. In from Seattle is new head coach Dan Quinn who looks to bring his aggressive defensive style to a Falcons team that’s sorely in need of an identity on that side of the ball. Matt Ryan and company still have the potential to be one of the most potent units in the league despite the questions on their offensive line and in their backfield.

Here are five matchups worth watching Monday night when the Battle of the Birds takes place under the bright lights of Monday Night Football!
