Eagles will get their offensive game plan moving quickly and race out to a first quarter lead. The running back corps of DeMarco Murray, Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles will prove too much for the Falcons to handle. Chip Kelly will use the trio in a rotation that will eventually wear out Atlanta’s front seven and open up play action passes and much more.

Byron Maxwell may struggle early, as he’ll be matched up with one of the league’s best wide receivers in Julio Jones. But the Falcons will eventually run out of gas trying to keep up with the Eagles’ scoring frenzy. Philadelphia’s front seven will dominate the running game, ultimately making the Falcons a “pass only” team and that will eventually lead to a few turnovers down the stretch, allowing the Eagles to pull off a close victory in a shootout.

Final Score Prediction: Eagles 41, Falcons 34

Game MVP: DeMarco Murray will prove to be worth all of the money the Eagles rewarded him with this offseason with a big-time primetime performance
