No. 2: Ricky Watters

For who? For what?

For the rest of his life, Ricky Watters will never live down those words, uttered in response to a post-game question when asked why he pulled up short on a pass thrown to him down the middle of the field.

But alligator arms and chicken heart aside, Watters produced quite nicely for the Eagles from 1995-1997. His 3,794 yards rushing ranks seventh in franchise history, accomplished in only three seasons (no one in the top 13 played fewer than six).

Add that to 32 touchdowns and 161 receptions, and it’s safe to say that, ridiculous sound bites aside, Watters proved his value during his Philly tenure.
