5. The end is near for Riley Cooper

Everyone’s favorite, possibly racist wide receiver is on his way out of Philadelphia!

It wasn’t all that long ago when Cooper signed a surprisingly lucrative extension worth $25 million over five years with $8 million of that contract guaranteed. Once upon a time, it was believed that Cooper could turn into a reliable weapon in Philadelphia.

Well, that sure didn’t happen.

In 10 games this season, Cooper has recorded 13 receptions for 247 yards and a pair of touchdowns. In four of those games, he failed to make a single catch, which is just gloriously bad, especially given the amount of snaps he’s received.

The only reason Cooper was able to make this season’s roster was because it would have been more expensive to cut him than it would have been to keep him. This offseason, I see no logical scenario in which the Eagles decide to hold on to Cooper, which should be music to just about every Eagles fans’ ears.
