DeMarco Murray may have been the biggest offseason signing for Eagles, but Ryan Mathews has definitely turned out to be the best offseason signing.

The Eagles signed Mathews to a three-year, $11 million contract over the offseason, which has undoubtedly been the best value of any offseason acquisition the Eagles have had in some time.

Mathews is currently missing in action as he recovers from a concussion. But aside from the injury, he has been a sensation in 2015. In nine games this season, Mathews has carried the ball 75 times for 427 yards and five scores, averaging 5.7 yards per carry. On top of that, he’s also compiled 14 receptions for 119 yards and another score. Those receiving numbers could be higher had it not been for the several drops he’s had on the season, but I digress.

Without a doubt, Mathews is a stud and probably deserves a lot more touches than the amount he’s currently getting.
