Don’t worry, I’m not going to list all eight teams. Just the interesting ones.
The Buccaneers looked like one of the worst teams in football through the first five weeks of the season. Since then, they have looked like a real contender. Well, at least a real thorn in the NFC’s side. They split games with the NFC East, and are 2-1 within their own division, the NFC South. They are looking as good as anyone to take a Wild Card spot.

The Pewter Plank
The Bucs have already beaten the Eagles. Convincingly. This pushes the Eagles down quite a bit. In order for Philly to snatch the Wild card away from this team, they will need to be a whole game up on them. Not so easy when you consider how the Bucs have been playing as of late.
Doug Martin has resurfaced as one of the league’s best rushers, and a lot of that is thanks to Jameis Winston living up to all the draft hype. Head coach Lovie Smith finally has a talented defense clicking on nearly all fronts. Power running and a reliable defense are two things you need this time of year. The Buccaneers aren’t the only team in the hunt, but they are definitely a team surging at the right time.
