4. Dallas Cowboys: Jalen Ramsey, S/CB, Florida State

I want to say the Cowboys will take Jared Goff, but Jerry Jones has stated the team will not be looking to draft a quarterback fourth overall. If that sentiment is true, then Jalen Ramsey makes sense here.

Ramsey is a versatile defensive back who can play either the safety or cornerback position at a high level. The Cowboys are expected to release cornerback Brandon Carr, making Morris Claiborne and Byron Jones the only two legitimate options at corner barring a signing in free agency. The Cowboys also have a deficiency at safety, so Ramsey could slot in there as well.

Dallas would be a great place for Ramsey to start his professional career. If the Cowboys do address the secondary in free agency, Ramsey could be used predominantly as a nickel corner and eased into a larger role as he progresses.
