Piecing together the Eagles’ offseason blueprint.

On the first day of the new league year, Philadelphia Eagles GM Howie Roseman wasted no time situating himself atop the mountain of offseason hype, enacting a carefully measured plan that would add impact players, while shedding costly contracts and jockeying for draft position. Much has been made of his moves in the short time since.

Perhaps most intriguing is the 5-spot leap from the 13th pick to the 8th pick that now has the team poised to target one of the draft’s premiere players. Here, we’ll take a look at the circumstances surrounding the Eagles, as well as those of the 8th pick of the draft in order to assess the direction in which Roseman and company should lean come April.
