A quick look at the Eagles offseason moves to this point shows a clear motion in this direction. After usurping power from Chip Kelly, Roseman quickly extended future blindside protector Lane Johnson and pass-catching tight end Zach Ertz, re-signed pass rush specialist Vinny Curry, as well as quarterback Sam Bradford.

When free agency opened, Roseman wasted little time in signing rangy free safety Rodney McLeod, and later reserve corner Ron Brooks (slightly beforehand he added CB Leodis McKelvin to the mix). Even the addition of RG Brandon Brooks, who’s heralded as a road-grading interior lineman, will directly impact the passing offense.

Considering the evidence we’ve compiled to this point, it’s fair to wonder if this pass-centric theme will extend to the NFL Draft. It’s quite possible that top prospects like cornerback Vernon Hargreaves, wide receivers Laquon Treadwell, Corey Coleman and Josh Doctson (depending on preference), defensive end Shaq Lawson, quarterback Paxton Lynch, or tackle Ronnie Stanley could all potentially be on the board at number eight.
