7) San Francisco 49ers: Jared Goff QB, Cal

Here it is, the moment of truth, will Chip Kelly mess up the draft for San Francisco by taking an obscure Oregon alum like he did with the Eagles? No, because Chip isn’t in charge anymore. General Manager Trent Baalke is in charge and he will take the sensible and safe quarterback from their back yard.

Kelly might want Paxton Lynch, or Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams, or Ezekiel Elliot so he can play quarterback, but at the end of the day if Colin Kaepernick ends up somewhere else, or even if he doesn’t, Goff is the most highly graded and NFL ready quarterback here.

Goff is also primarily a shotgun formation quarterback which plays right into Chip Kelly’s offense. The 49ers might have their eye on Wentz but in this scenario he is gone and Goff will have to do.
