Who Are The Philadelphia Eagles’ Top Eight Draft Targets?
By Pat Roach
3) Myles Jack, LB, UCLA
Myles Jack is one of the most insanely athletic and versatile players I’ve ever had the privilege to watch. Excellent size and length at 6’1″ 245 with 33 5/8″ arms and 10 1/4″ hands, allows him to stack and shed blockers. Jack is an explosive athlete with good instincts, stunning sideline to sideline range, pass rush and blitzing skills, and the ability to navigate the trash.
Jack is so ridiculously versatile that he could be an effective player at 3 different positions at the next level; linebacker, safety, and running back. This is the first player that the Eagles have a realistic opportunity to nab, but it may take a trade-up into the 3-5 range. Jack would be worth the dive, however, and although he’d create a bit of a logjam at LB, it’d be justified. The previous regime devalued the linebacker position, but I feel that was less a product of Roseman, and more a Reid-tendency. After all, once Roseman took over, he quickly invested assets in DeMeco Ryans and Mychal Kendricks.
