Week 1: Cleveland Browns

The Eagles’ first game of the season is an easy one at Lincoln Financial Field. The Cleveland Browns are routinely one of the worst teams in the NFL and it doesn’t look like that’s going to change in 2016.

However, this game may have more intrigue than anticipated. Robert Griffin III could be making his return to a starting role, but also keep in mind that the Cleveland Browns currently hold the second overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Browns are not all that interested in drafting a quarterback, but that could end up being a smokescreen by the Browns. If they do end up drafting a quarterback, Philadelphia could be facing either Jared Goff or Carson Wentz in Week 1, who the Eagles’ brass apparently like a lot. Boy, would that be awkward.

Rumors are fun!

But regardless of who the quarterback is, I feel pretty confident giving the Eagles the win here.

Result: Win (1-0)
