26) Seattle Seahawks: Ryan Kelly C, Alabama

The Seahawks need offensive line help desperately and after losing Max Unger last year they get a long term replacement.

27) Green Bay Packers: Jarran Reed DT, Alabama

The Packers need linebacker help and some firepower on offense, but after losing B.J. Raji they get a stud tackle to replace him.

28) Kansas City Chiefs: Mackensie Alexander CB, Clemson

The Chiefs need another cornerback to go opposite Marcus Peters while some personality and statistic questions affect Alexander’s stock for most teams, the Chiefs like how Peters worked out and take Alexander anyway.

29) Arizona Cardinals: Karl Joseph S, West Virginia

The Cardinals need secondary help with some of their departures and Joseph is a supreme talent.

30) Carolina Panthers: Germain Ifedi OT, Texas A&M

The Panthers, who just last year were one of the top too teams in the league, find themselves with a few needs here in the draft. While they need to address cornerback at some point, they opt to wait and take an offensive lineman here to protect their investment.

31) *Philadelphia Eagles (via Broncos): A’Shawn Robinson DT, Alabama

Woah, what are the Eagles doing here at the Broncos pick? They don’t have anything that could earn them such a pick? Well, the Wentz as a backup to Sam Bradford plan lasted almost all of the first round before the Broncos came calling.

The Broncos decide here that if Sam Bradford is willing to take a pay cut to make it work, then they appreciate his talent more than any quarterback left and the Eagles accept such a deal because while Bradford may or may not have been in their plans, he wants out bad and this is a good deal.

Now as for picking Robinson the Eagles take a guy here who is a really talented player and has a chance to be elite. Pairing him with Fletcher Cox and having Bennie Logan to rotate in makes this defensive line arguably the best in the league which is good given the issues the Eagles had stopping the run. Jim Schwartz begins to drool at the possibilities of this defensive line.
