These five players could be surprise cuts during Philadelphia Eagles training camp.

Every year, teams across the NFL make cuts that nobody saw coming. The Philadelphia Eagles are no exception.

Just last summer, the Eagles surprisingly cut Tim Tebow after outperforming Matt Barkley to be the team’s third-string quarterback. To this day, some people still (not so wisely) believe that had the Eagles kept Tebow on the roster and promoted him to be the starter, the Eagles’ 2015 season would have been far more successful.

*laughs uncontrollably*

Of course, that didn’t happen. But many, including myself, did not see Tebow getting cut.

Expect some surprise cuts this summer as well.

The Eagles have undergone a complete remodel of the coaching staff, meaning players who were given roster spots in 2015 because of their ties to Chip Kelly may be headed out the door this time around. With a new coach comes new relationships and some players who were highly regarded under Kelly may not be quite as treasured under Doug Pederson.

That said, there are several players on the Eagles roster who could very well be approaching the end of their tenure in Philadelphia.

And yes, a couple of them will surprise you.
