Connor Barwin

Barwin is a well liked and has done great things for the city of Philadelphia, but the business of this league is a tough one. He’s been valuable for the Eagles and is reportedly willing to take a pay cut, but the Eagles may want to pass.

At 30 years old, he’s shown some wear and he hasn’t shown that he’s the best fit for defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz’s 4-3 scheme. If he isn’t cut and is traded, he would probably generate some interest from many teams running a 3-4. He’s also taking snaps away from Vinny Curry, who signed a five-year $47.2 million contract last season.

The Eagles would save $7.75 million on the cap by releasing Barwin, according to Over The Cap.

Total Cap Savings: $7.75 million

Eagles’ Cap Space: $20.4 million
