Philadelphia Eagles Post-Combine 7-Round Mock Draft
By Ryan Quigley
Who will the Philadelphia Eagles take in our seven-round mock draft?
The 2017 NFL Scouting Combine has come to a close. For several days, all 32 teams got an extensive look at the top prospects in the country. The Philadelphia Eagles have a lot of holes that need filling, so it’s pretty safe to assume they had quite the busy week.
Now that the combine is in the rear-view, the countdown to the 2017 NFL Draft has officially begun. We are less than two months from draft day in the City of Brotherly Love. With the free agency period set to begin at 4 p.m. on March 9, things are certainly expected to change before the draft. However, that doesn’t mean we won’t take our best guess at who the Eagles will be selecting with their eight draft picks.
The obvious needs for the Eagles are at cornerback, wide receiver, running back and defensive end. While the goal of the offseason is to build around Carson Wentz, the defense is in need of retooling. As evidenced by last season’s turnout, a good front seven isn’t enough to make up for the worst secondary in the league. That being the case, it shouldn’t be a surprise when the Eagles take a corner in the first round.
