2. The Eagles could have signed Latavius Murray after all.

You’ve heard the stories and have even witnessed a few with your own eyes. Earlier this off-season, fans weren’t getting the proper satisfaction out of a season-ending victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Let’s face it. That victory was a little tainted as the Cowboys rested players and had nothing to play for.

Eagles fans were frustrated with our own issues at running back, but then, faster than you can say “Ezekiel Elliott“, it appeared our prayers were answered. Carson Wentz was seen hanging out with what was soon-to-be free agent running back Latavius Murray and anyone with a fondness for the Eagles went bananas.

Not too long after that, Murray signed with the Minnesota Vikings.

It wasn’t just the fact that Murray signed with the Vikings. It was the fact that the Vikings got him at such a low number. Sure the Eagles couldn’t go out and give Murray a ton, but they definitely could have figured out a way to free up somewhere around the $5 million he’ll be getting from the Vikings right? Couldn’t that be argued now that we’ve seen the Eagles found money to add both Long and Robinson?
