Philadelphia Eagles Mock Draft: Birds take cornerback in first round
Who will the Philadelphia Eagles take in this year’s draft?
While making, my mock I took a lot of consideration on what the Philadelphia Eagles have done over the past few weeks. They have added a lot of defensive pieces by signing defensive end Chris Long, corner Patrick Robinson, and one of the more intriguing moves acquiring 24-year-old defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan and a third-round pick (99th overall) from the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a third-round pick (74th overall). Even with those acquisitions the Eagles still have needs at the cornerback positions, for Patrick I feel isn’t a real upgrade the Eagles are looking for. Also, they have yet to make any moves at the running back position beside letting restricted free agent Kenjon Barner leave for the Los Angeles Chargers. It was expected the Eagles were going to cut running back Ryan Mathews at the beginning of the off-season, but due to injury they are unable to release him. In this 2.0 mock draft the Eagles will draft the difference makers they need to have a successful 2017-2018 season.
