1. Nelson Agholor’s disappointing season

We at Inside The Iggles were the first to tell you that Agholor didn’t have what it takes to play football at this level. When we said it, there was some backlash and some harsh statements. Truthfully, we wish he would have proven us wrong. He didn’t.

It no longer makes any sense to provide statistical data. No one is interested in the amount of targets he’s had. No one wants to compare those targets to his drops. It’s gotten to the point where we’ve expressed so much anger about what he’s incapable of on the field that fatigue has settled in.

Agholor will walk into the 2017 as the fourth wide receiver on the depth chart or worse. When that former Oregon Ducks coach who shall remain nameless drafted the former USC Trojans standout with the 20th-overall selection, most disagreed. Fans and coaches welcomed him into the fold anyway, but he’s since worn out his welcome. It’s hard to imagine him remaining in the NFL once his rookie contract expires, and if it wasn’t for the figure he represents on the Eagles payroll, the team might have been content with letting him walk quite some time ago.

Nelson Agholor, without question, tops our five most regrettable memories of 2016. The 2017 season will, no doubt, be better (we hope).
