Malachi Dupre, LSU

If the Eagles want to stick with the strategy of using a tall, physical receiver in the slot, Malachi Dupre could be the solution.

The majority of the time in his final season at LSU, Dupre lined up in the slot to take advantage of the mismatch with smaller nickel corners. The quarterback situation at LSU held Dupre back in 2016, only posting 593 yards and three touchdowns.

Dupre creates separation through his long strides and solid route running. Playing at LSU, he ran many route combinations similar to those used at the pro level. At 6’2″, 196 pounds, Dupre has the size and length to win against man coverage. He was able to thrive in the red zone, catching some tough, contested touchdowns. Like many receivers in this class, Dupre has average pro speed, running a 4.52 at the NFL Combine.
