Dalvin Cook, RB, Florida State

Dalvin Cook has been one of the most talked about running backs leading up to this draft. He is one of the two key rushing prospects that the Eagles have reportedly been interested in for the first round. Cook worked out for the Eagles in the beginning of the month and the reports of mutual interest have been non-stop. Just recently, Cook’s grandmother has told the media that she has been in contact with Eagles running backs coach Duce Staley. She says Staley has told her that he is very interested in her grandson and wants him on the Eagles.

Ever since he was in middle school he has had multiple off-field incidents. Most recently in 2015, Cook was cited for animal cruelty. He had three other charges in 2009, 2010 and 2014. FSU’s head coach Jimbo Fischer had nothing but positive things to say about the star running back. He also said that aside from him being a great runner, he is also a good listener.

Cook may not have had the most impressive combine, but his college stats should overshadow that. He had three straight seasons over 1,000 yards. Just last year he rushed for 1,765 yards and 19 touchdowns. He also had 488 receiving yards, which is a plus for the Eagles’ offense.
