Ranking the Eagles’ draft picks from worst to best
By Ryan Quigley
Elijah Qualls
The Eagles needed to add a defensive tackle in the draft and they got a solid one with Qualls. At 313 pounds, Qualls is a wide-bodied lineman would can clog running lanes with ease and force double teams.
Unfortunately, his height is a bit of a concern. He is barely over six feet tall and is a non-factor on passing downs.
With Beau Allen nursing a pectoral injury, Qualls will receive a lot opportunities to prove himself in training camp. However, he seems more like a practice squad candidate than anything else, especially with Destiny Vaeao and Aziz Shittu still in the fold.
