Quarterback

  1. Carson Wentz
  2. Nick Foles
  3. Matt McGloin

No surprises here. Carson Wentz is the Eagles’ franchise quarterback and there’s virtually no chance of any other signal-caller on the roster taking his starting job. Wentz had an impressive rookie campaign and, despite a few hiccups, still displayed all the tools necessary to be the team’s quarterback for the next decade.

Behind Carson Wentz is our good friend Nick Foles—Mr. 27-2 himself. After a pathetic effort as the Los Angeles Rams’ starting quarterback in 2015, he was able to redeem himself with the Kansas City Chiefs as Alex Smith‘s backup last season. Foles has had his 15 minutes of fame, but now he’s stepped out of the spotlight to play a reserve role.

Matt McGloin signed with the Eagles this offseason. Philadelphia kept just two quarterbacks on the roster last season, so it’s no guarantee he will even have a spot on the roster. But for now, it seems he’ll have an opportunity.
