1. He’s an outstanding teammate. Just ask Rasul Douglas.

You typically can’t judge this part of an athlete’s personality before he joins a team, but in the case of Sidney Jones, you can definitely check the box. His teammates are in love with him, and so are his coaches. Jones can’t do much physically, but one of his biggest contributions so far has been what he’s poured into one of his teammates, fellow rookie cornerback Rasul Douglas.

Jones has become the yin to Douglas’ yang as both have added a component to one another that wouldn’t be available if both were playing. Through Douglas, Jones isn’t just taking in mental reps. He’s allowed to have the benefit of seeing those reps carried out on the field in Douglas’ on-field work. Douglas, who obviously lacks the benefit of seeing himself in action, can run through drills and get immediate feedback from Jones.

What’s really cool about all of this is they’ve actually developed a friendship in the process.
