Is anyone else looking at the Eagles roster and wondering what happens to Paul Turner now?

It happens just about every season. There’s a player on every NFL roster that no one mentions prior to training camp. He, seemingly, comes out of nowhere, steals the hearts of fans and backs coaches who are trying to piece a team together into a wall. Last season for the Philadelphia Eagles, that guy was wide receiver Paul Turner.

Maybe it was the lack of talent that existed in the Eagles locker room a season ago, or maybe it was the fact that we knew of the deficiencies that permeated this Eagles roster, especially at the skill positions. Then again, it could have just been the poor play of guys that were supposed to be better. Whatever the reason, there was a spotlight on the Eagles’ offense as the preseason began.

We just weren’t ready for what came next. Let’s take a look back.
