Carson Wentz

Wentz had himself quite the impressive rookie season. Not only did he set franchise records for completions and pass attempts, but he was also nominated for NFL Rookie of the Year honors.

In 16 games, Wentz threw for 3,782 yards and 16 touchdowns with basically no help from the guys around him. The Eagles had arguably the worst receiving corps in the NFL last season and had inconsistent production from the running backs, which makes Wentz’s performance even more impressive.

But that will all change this year.

The Eagles made it their mission to get Wentz some weapons this offseason. Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith have come to town and figure to be immediate upgrades over Nelson Agholor and Jordan Matthews at wideout. Philadelphia also went out and acquired former New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount to lead the Eagles backfield.

With so many new toys to play with, it’s hard to imagine Wentz’s play won’t improve significantly in 2017.
