LSU’s Derrius Guice is a monster at tailback that the Eagles should consider giving a few looks.

In looking at the 2018 NFL Draft‘s running back class, expect some of the focus to turn to a player that may be the one of the best backs yet. Derrius Guice has all of the skills you look for in a starter. He could put up crazy “Madden-type numbers” in the Philadelphia Eagles offensive system.

While Saquon Barkley of the Penn State Nittany Lions might be the cream of the crop, Guice has the potential to provide great value pick for a team that’s willing to bank on his upside. With only one year of real production (he was Leonard Fournette‘s backup), Guice has a lot to prove during the 2017 season as the LSU Tigers‘ lead back. He’ll be the focal point for every SEC defense moving forward.

Even as the beta male in the LSU backfield, Guice still converted his 183 carries into 1,387 rushing yards, averaging a boisterous 7.6 yards per carry. It’s still somewhat difficult to fully grasp if Guice can be an every-down back. Let’s take a look at the film to get a fundamental understanding of his overall ability.
