Nick Chubb could be a realistic option for the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Let’s take a look at a running back that was once the crown jewel of his recruiting class, only to become a third or fourth option on most NFL Draft boards. While Nick Chubb was able to put together some really solid film in his first season back after tearing multiple ligaments in his knee, he still has a lot to prove. Even though he isn’t totally back to his former self, Chubb has a great chance to use the 2017 College Football season as a spring board into a higher draft selection.

Before injuring his knee, Chubb was on pace to become the next star Georgia Bulldog running back. After seeing great players like Herschel Walker and Todd Gurley go on to see success in the NFL, it was a safe assumption that Chubb would be next. In Chubb’s 311 carries pre-injury (2014 and early 2015) he accumulated 2,294 yards. That’s 7.4 yards per carry!

But there are no assumptions after such a devastating knee injury and Chubb still has a long way to go to prove that he is worth a high draft pick. It’s time to take a look at the tape to see how Chubb fits with the Philadelphia Eagles‘ offensive system, and how he stacks up against the other elite running back prospects in this draft class.
