6. Rookie cornerback Sidney Jones is walking around without a walking boot.

Don’t count on seeing him on the field this season, but this, alone, means he may be ahead of schedule in the recovery process. You won’t complain about that will you?

7. Najee Goode is outshining some of the secondary in pass coverage.

Mychal Kendricks is still nursing a hamstring injury. It seems as though this has been going on forever, but that’s the situation. As a result, Goode’s been spending less time with the special teams unit and more time with the first-team defense. The result? He’s looked good in pass coverage, intercepting two passes and knocking down a couple of others.

8. Aaron Grymes is making some noise.

Grymes is trying to make a name for himself, and it’s time someone brought him up. Dude is everywhere. He’s breaking up passes across the middle, diving to break up others and seems to always be around the football.
