5 Philadelphia Eagles players to draft in fantasy football
By Ryan Quigley
Alshon Jeffery
This is a no-brainer. Jeffery may be coming off a down year with the Chicago Bears, but there is no reason to assume he won’t get things turned around in his first season with the Eagles. The 6’3″, 218-pound receiver gives Carson Wentz his first legitimate outside threat and figures to play a large part in turning the Eagles’ receiving core around.
One reason you should select Jeffery in your fantasy draft is the fact that he’s reuniting with his former wide receivers coach Mike Groh. In three seasons under Groh in Chicago, Jeffery caught 228 balls for 3,361 yards and 21 touchdowns. Groh and Jeffery seem to have good chemistry and it appears the 27-year-old wideout is primed for another big year in 2017.
Oh, and Jeffery is also playing for a long-term contract. Nothing inspires a man quite like a big stack of money.
