Carson Wentz and rookie Derek Barnett shine in the Eagles preseason opener.

The Philadelphia Eagles took on the Green Bay Packers to open the preseason. The Packers won by a score of 24-9.

Luckily for the Eagles, its only preseason and the score doesn’t really matter. What matters is how certain players perform. There were several standouts in Thursday’s game. There were those who played well, which came to no surprise and those who superseded expectations. The game game featured a lot of good and bad.
