Wentz looked sharp despite playing only one series

Though the franchise quarterback was only in for ten plays, he looked very efficient in those span of plays. Carson Wentz had a fairly easy night in Green Bay. That’s not to say that he didn’t play well though.

Wentz was a perfect  four-for-four passing for 56 yards, and he threw a touchdown pass. What was really impressive about Wentz was how calm he was in the pocket, especially on 3rd and 4th downs. He was able to keep his eyes down field, and he connected with Jordan Matthews on two occasions to move the chains. Just a side note, Matthews being able to move the chains could be a sign of things to come.

The most note worthy play of Wentz’s was his touchdown pass to Mack Hollins. Wentz showed great poise and footwork as he was able to shed a potential sack from six-time Pro Bowler Clay Matthews. It’s also worth noting that Hollins broke two tackles that included a violent stiff arm as well.

Despite playing only one series, Wentz was very impressive.
