Eagles putting the ball on the ground should raise some concern

There were certainly some bright spots from Thursday’s game. However, there some negatives as well. One of those issues were fumbles.

The Eagles had two fumbles lost coming from tight ends Trey Burton and Billy Brown. Rookie Donnel Pumphrey also fumbled twice, but luckily the Eagles were able to recover them. Burton and Pumphrey will be able to put that behind them because they are pretty much locks to make the team. Brown, on the other hand, not so much.

The margin for error is so small for guys who are trying to make the team. Players are only given so much opportunities in preseason. It’s imperative that they make everyone count. Fumbling the football will not help a player’s case to earn a roster spot.

Hopefully the Eagles rectify their fumbling issues in practice this week.
