Playing the devils advocate:

Believe it or not, trading Jordan Matthews is a blow to this Eagles wide receiving corps. Carson Wentz will now rely on Alshon Jeffery, and a number of unproven talents. Torrey Smith is a burner, and he’s having a strong camp. Still, Smith is coming off of a year with the San Francisco 49ers where he was graded lower than Nelson Agholor by ProFootballFocus.com.

Agholor has been the worst starting receiver in the NFL for two straight seasons, and it hasn’t been close. He’ll be relied upon in the slot after experiencing a great training camp. Agholor’s always been a good practice player. Last night’s drop in Green Bay during a two-point conversion attempt proves we may not be completely past his issues with holding on to the ball.

Outside of everyone named, the Eagles have two rookie receivers and an undrafted guy who was on and off the practice squad last year in Marcus Johnson.
