Howie Roseman shared his thoughts on a few things concerning the Eagles Monday Morning on WIP Morning Show.

Howie Roseman is the executive vice president of football operations for the Philadelphia Eagles. This morning, he appeared on 94 WIP-FM’s Morning Show with Angelo Cataldi. Before we discuss that, we need to get you caught up on a couple of things. Most importantly, wide receiver Jordan Matthews, in his first practice with the Buffalo Bills, got injured, and he’s out indefinitely with a fractured sternum.

Just like that, the Eagles appear to be in a better spot than they already were. This past weekend, Matthews was traded for the rights to cornerback Ronald Darby, and some Eagles fans are loving the move.

Others are on the other side. They still need to see more from the highly touted corner before they throw their full support behind him. Still, several things are certain. Matthews wasn’t going to sign a long-term deal with the Eagles. Philadelphia needed a legitimate starting cornerback. Matthews, as of now, isn’t ready to play. Darby, on the other hand, is practicing and ready to go.

Roseman speaks:

Some fans may be a little hesitant in their excitement about the Eagles cornerback situation. Roseman disagrees. According to him, Philadelphia is in the best situation they’ve been in for quite some time at that position.

How good is this team?

According to Roseman, the team is satisfied with the development of wide receiver Nelson Agholor. Rookie cornerback Sidney Jones still has no timetable for return, but he’s been amazing in classroom settings. Roseman is also happy with the team’s decision to bring Darby in, and as stated earlier, he’s satisfied with where the team is headed in relation to the cornerback position.
