4. A trip to the west coast (the second of two) on December 10th….

This season, the Eagles play both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers on the road. The second of those two clashes pits the Eagles against a team they don’t play all that often, the Rams. That one will, no doubt be viewed and billed as a duel between the top two picks in the 2016 NFL Draft, quarterbacks Carson Wentz and Jared Goff.

When, those two became topics of consistent discussion a year ago, Wentz was seen as the project who may have had the most upside. Goff was supposed to be the guy who was ready to play immediately, and knowing what we know now, the Eagles got it right. Even had they had the first pick in last year’s draft, they would have taken Wentz anyway.

People have viewed Goff as the guy looking up at Wentz ever since.

Wentz is clearly ahead of Goff in his development. Wentz has the better team surrounding him. Look for Philly’s second-year signal caller to make another statement in this one.
