Eagles report card: Carson Wentz’s quarter-season progress report
Passing: B (85%)
Sometimes, the ball just doesn’t have enough air under it. Sometimes, it has too much air under it, and it sails too far, too wide or too high. Wentz’s deep ball has come into question on more than one occasion. We all saw balls that were underthrown and overthrown in the first game against the Washington Redskins. We all heard about the hiring of a throwing coach. Wentz, though immensely talented, isn’t the perfect passer.
Still, there are moments where he proves he can be.
After the Eagles week-four win, Wentz was officialy 20 games into his NFL career. Is there room for improvement? Absolutely. Is he EJ Maunel? Absolutely not. Wentz will get better. In the meantime, we’re all going to have to resign ourselves to one thing.
He’s only 20 games into his NFL career. What’s even more amazing is knowing that has taught us time and time again that the Eagles made the right decision with the second pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
