Philadelphia Eagles are obsessed with stats just like everybody else is.

Who are we kidding? We don’t just live in a world that’s driven by numbers. We enjoy it. Statistics dominate the minds of not only sports fans but people in general. We love box scores. We talk about them at work. For the Philadelphia Eagles fan, it’s no different.

It may be sinking in now, but it appears that the 2017 NFL season could be pretty special. Sure, the Eagles beat three teams with a losing record, but in a game that would decide first place in the NFC, they stepped up and dominated in that one as well. Oh, by the way, that one was on the road and in semi-hostile territory. There were quite a few fans wearing green at Bank of America Stadium.

What did most of us do after that? Yep. We found more statistics, and something was noticed. When you’re 5-1, everything makes you smile. Defensive end Chris Long definitely agrees.
