Mychal Kendricks, LB

Mychal Kendricks was once a Philadelphia favorite a couple years back. His quick speed and hard-hitting plays made him a problem for offenses. He was crowned with the nickname “The Angry Bird” for the intense way that he played. Over the couple of seasons, though, things went sour for Kendricks. His snap count reduced big time while his injuries piled up.

Kendricks eventually grew fed up with the Eagles organization and demanded a trade during the 2016 offseason. It was shocking when the Eagles didn’t trade him or even cut him. When you look back at the situation, it could easily be one of the best decisions the Eagles have made this season.

The sixth-year veteran has been on fire! He currently has 47 total tackles on the season, which is tied for the second-most on the Eagles along with Malcolm Jenkins. After nine weeks through the season, the Eagles have finally gotten their angry bird back on track. With middle linebacker Jordan Hicks out for the season, the Eagles need all the help they can get at linebacker and Kendricks has stepped right up to the test.
