The Philadelphia Eagles famous home-run celebration was used by the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday.

The Philadelphia Eagles may be on a bye week, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t making an impact. Aside from being discussed as one of the hottest teams in the NFL, they have been creating a lot of noise in the celebration game too.

Remember back in Week five when the Eagles beat the Arizona Cardinals 34-7? The same game where Torrey Smith came to life and caught a beautiful 59-yard touchdown pass by Carson Wentz. A few players then rushed to the end zone to set up a “home-run” celebration. That ended up being one of the most memorable celebrations of the 2017 season.

The group celebration became so popular with the Philadelphia fan base that it was recycled and used in another game. Eagles rookie Mack Hollins hauled in a 64-yard bomb from Wentz. The team then allowed Hollins to step up to the imaginary plate to get a shot at the home run celebration. At this point, the Eagles have now used the celebration three times. It’s become such a hit celebration now that even other teams are starting to use it.

Seahawks step up to the plate:

The Seattle Seahawks faced off against the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football to start off Week 10. Without the Eagles playing a game this week, you would think that the home run celebration would be stashed away. Well, it wasn’t! The Seahawks have decided to step up to the plate and run with the same exact celebration.

Most viewers were not able to see the celebration since it was not televised. After Seahawks tight end, Jimmy Graham caught a red zone touchdown pass, the television broadcast showed an instant replay. Luckily, the NFL’s official Instagram account caught the video and posted it. Sure enough, plenty of Eagles fans were in the comments section in no time.

It was ironic that the Seahawks decided to pull off the celebration against the same team that the Eagles debuted it against. It’s doubtful that the Seahawks meant anything by it, but it would sure be great if the Eagles get to use it against them during Week 13. There is nothing better than a little end zone celebration rivalry.
