Philadelphia Eagles: Predicting wins-losses after bye week
Week 11 – at Dallas Cowboys
The first time the Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys face off against each other this year comes a lot later than usual. The bitter rivalry is set to continue on in Dallas for the first time since Week 17 of the 2016 season. The last time these two met, Dallas had their star players sidelined. They had already clinched a first-round bye and home-field advantage, making it pointless for them to play their starters against the Eagles.
This time around, things are different. Dallas is fighting to get in on the playoff race while the Eagles currently headline it. The Cowboy’s may be climbing back up the rankings after a slow start to the season, but things just got a lot tougher for them. Their star running back Ezekiel Elliott will finally begin his long overdue six-game suspension. Which leaves Zeke out of the gameplan for Week 11.
Do not think the Eagles are heading into an easy matchup, though. As always, NFC East matchups tend to be closer than expected. Especially considering the Eagles will have to face them on Cowboy territory on Sunday Night Football. Fans will get to see the third Carson Wentz versus Dak Prescott matchup of their career. As both quarterbacks are playing at a high level, obviously one has to come out on top. Considering Dallas will take a big hit in their run game, they are known to struggle when the game is left up to Dak throwing a ton of passes. This will definitely be Dallas’ biggest challenge of their season, and the Eagles will come out on top.
