Philadelphia Eagles OL Lane Johnson hates the Dallas Cowboys
Just like the rest of Philadelphia, Lane Johnson can’t stand the Dallas Cowboys.
The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys rivalry continues on this Sunday. The Eagles are set to travel to Dallas to face off against the 5-4 Cowboys. Just like every season, things tend to get heated between Philly and Dallas fan bases. Sure, everything is usually in good fun, but things are a lot more fun when the players get involved.
Eagles star right tackle Lane Johnson has become a Philadelphia favorite during his time with the Eagles. Not only because of his dominant blocking, but because of his personality that he displays off of the field. Just this past offseason, Johnson made a promise to the fan base that they would never forget. He told the city of Philadelphia that if the Eagles win the Super Bowl this season, he would be buying everybody a beer!
So far, his offered gesture looks very promising as the Eagles are on top of the NFL with an 8-1 record. While the city celebrates, though, the Eagles locker room knows they can’t look past anyone. The only thing on the teams’ mind right now is beating the Cowboys this Sunday.
Johnson, who is a Texas native says that his family and friends are Eagles fans because of him. But deep down he believes they are Cowboys fans. As the rivalry continues on, Johnson makes it very clear that he bleeds green. In fact, he had to let it be known to his grandma during the playoffs last year.
Shut up, Grandma!
All jokes aside…
Obviously, Lane was joking to reporters about what he said to his grandma. But we can all assume that he was truly frustrated with his grandma’s fandom. After all, once you suit up in that midnight green it is tough to not hate the sight of the Cowboys star. The players on the Eagles know what the Eagles-Cowboys rivalry means to the city and they make that clear.

As the Eagles return from their bye week, they are looking to take care of things once again on the road. They are 3-1 in away games, with their only loss being against the Kansas City Chiefs in week two. Although Dallas is missing their star running back, Ezekiel Elliott, the Eagles know that anything can happen on any given Sunday. Especially if it is an NFC East showdown. Lane may be all jokes right now, but come Sunday night the Eagles are looking to run away with the East.
