It didn’t take long for the Eagles fan base to suspect that Jay Ajayi is frustrated with his role.

Another week, another hot topic surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles fan base. Even after a dominant win at home, there has to be a little bit of drama, right? Well, in case you missed it, there is some speculation already about Eagles new running back, Jay Ajayi. The 24-year old veteran has quite the track record back with the Miami Dolphins. Could his antics from the Miami locker room be coming to life in Philadelphia?

The accusations at Ajayi stemmed from his body language during the game. He also seemed quite frustrated in the locker room when the media met him at his locker. Some speculate that he could be frustrated with his lack of carries in the committee role. After all, he only had five attempts in Sunday’s win. He hasn’t had five carries or less since week one of last season when he was a backup.

Take a look at the tape:

The Conclusion:

Obviously, Eagles fans are starting to assume what they heard about Ajayi in Miami is true. Let’s not jump to conclusions though, everybody seems like they are out to get him. The fact is, Ajayi was frustrated with himself, not his coaches. For the second week in a row, Ajayi had a big run where he had the potential to take it all the way but ended up getting caught from behind.

Not only did he get caught from behind, but he ended up fumbling on the one-yard line. Luckily, Nelson Agholor was there to save the day and get the touchdown. But that doesn’t mean Ajayi should be all smiles after losing the ball.

The fumbles were contagious in Philadelphia yesterday. Along with Ajayi’s fumble, fellow running back, LeGarrette Blount had two fumbles himself. Every running back in the NFL knows that fumbling the ball is your quickest way to the bench. Since Ajayi is aware of that, it’s only right to be frustrated after a mistake like that.

Since the speculation fired up on Twitter Sunday night, Ajayi has responded to the accusations. He replied to NBC Philadelphia’s tweet by simply calling them clowns, followed by several clown emoji’s. Eagles head coach Doug Pederson also responded to the alleged frustration by saying Ajayi is fine with his workload from Sunday. Obviously, Ajayi is just frustrated with himself lately. All of the other accusations are just simply there to stir up the fan base. No worries Eagles fans, nothing is hurting this locker room anytime soon.
