The Philadelphia Eagles have an extended stay on the West Coast this week.

When the 2017 NFL schedules were released, the Philadelphia Eagles knew they had some difficult games on the second-half of the season. We are now heading into game two of the west coast road matchups. Week 13 was a Sunday night matchup against the Seattle Seahawks and Week 14 will be an afternoon game against the Los Angeles Rams.

A lot of people were concerned with the circumstances. Obviously, when a team has to travel coast to coast in a matter of a few days, things can get exhausting. The players will tell you that it doesn’t necessarily make a difference, but we all know that traveling with a change of time and climate can take a toll on a person’s energy.

It look’s like the Eagles will play it smart this week and stay out on the west coast to prepare for their next matchup. After their tough 24-10 loss to the Seahawks, they boarded a plane to head over to Anaheim, California where they will be practicing to prepare for their next conference opponent.

With the Eagles staying out West, they obviously won’t be practicing in the Nova Care Complex this week.  They have a temporary practice facility at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California. The stadium is home to the Los Angeles Angels, which is Anaheim’s professional baseball team. It’s worth noting that Eagles superfan and season ticket holder, Mike Trout plays for the Angels. Maybe we can expect him taking a trip out west to see his buddies practicing this week.

The Eagles will be on their business this week, though. For the first time since September, they are preparing to bounce back after a loss. In a game that is just important as the last, they will need to secure a win to remain relevant in the NFC first seed race. A loss to Seattle knocked them down to the second seed, rather than the first. A win this Sunday is very crucial for the birds. Luckily, they won’t have to worry about exhaustion from all the traveling.
