The Philadelphia Eagles will get a taste of home when they face the Los Angeles Rams.

It is now the second phase of what is considered the most difficult part of the Philadelphia Eagles schedule. The two-game road trip on the west coast was sure to be a tough one for the birds. They had to face a tough and desperate Seattle Seahawks at Century Link Field. Now they plan to play in the old Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to face off against the Los Angeles Rams.

Century Link Field was no walk in the park for the Eagles. They took their first true beatdown of the season with a 24-10 loss. Although you could spot many Eagles jerseys in the stands, there truly wasn’t enough fans to take over the record-setting crowd noise of the 12th man.

The Eagles may be on the road once again this week, but the home-field advantage may not be so lopsided towards the opponent this time around. In fact, the Rams are going into this preparing as if it were an away game! The fact that the Coliseum is expecting a ton of Eagles fans to show up, Rams coach Sean McVay had to install a silent count in the offense so the crowd noise doesn’t throw the Rams off.

Home on the road…

This will be the second time this season that the Eagles play in Los Angeles. They played the Los Angeles Chargers back in week four, which turned out to pretty much be a home game as well. This Sunday should be a similar case as plenty of Eagles fans are packing their bags and heading out west for the weekend.

We always knew Eagles fans traveled well, but this season has been nothing short of incredible. With how hot the team has been, fans have had no problem spending their hard earned money on a hotel room and a plane ticket just to root for their team in another city. Not to mention, the recent success of the Eagles and the arrival of Carson Wentz might’ve really brought out some new fans all around the United States and beyond.

Either way, the Eagles will be heading into yet, another tough conference matchup. The presence of Eagles fans should really give an advantage to the birds as they work to lock down the NFC East and take back the number one seed in the conference. Expect the Coliseum to be Lincoln Financial Field on the west coast this weekend.
