Cris Carter believes Philadelphia Eagles can still win Super Bowl
The Philadelphia Eagles still have one very famous passenger of the bus.
The “Wentz Wagon” may have pulled into the station for some repairs, but everyone isn’t quite ready to say the Philadelphia Eagles are no longer a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Throw Cris Carter in that category. Most of you know him as a member of the NFL Hall of Fame and the host of FS1’s First Thing’s First. If you’re a little older and an Eagles fan, you remember him for a different reason.
The Eagles selected Carter in the 4th round of the 1987 supplemental draft. On a side note, do you ever wonder what things may have been like if he had gotten it together and given former Eagles quarterback Randall Cunningham a legitimate number one receiver? Well, that may actually be another story for another day.
Cris Carter believes the Eagles are already in a good-enough position to reach the Super Bowl.
Many Eagles fans had a difficult time finding a ton of pleasure in Week 14’s win over the Los Angeles Rams, a win that gave the Eagles the NFC East crown. They lost their quarterback, Carson Wentz, in the process, but the win was huge for the franchise. It gave the Eagles an 11-2 record, and they possess the top spot in the NFC, at least for now.
If the season were to end today, the Eagles would be off for the first week of the Playoffs, and they’d, simply have to win two games to reach the Super Bowl in Minneapolis. Carter doesn’t think that’s impossible.

He put it this way.
"They got 11 wins in the back pocket. They got the best record in pro football. They only need two more wins for home-field. My optimism is based on they have to be the number one or number two seed. Do I believe Nick Foles can beat the Vikings, the Saints, the Rams, the Seahawks in Philadelphia? I believe this.."
Is Foles good enough?
There’s one question that’s been on everyone’s mind. Can Nick Foles step in and lead this team to three straight wins in the Playoffs? Carter thinks he can.

Here’s his endorsement.
"I’ve seen him play enough football. There’s people out there that doubt Foles, but those are the people that must have only watched all the video when he played with Jeff Fisher as his coach. People want to forget how successful he was in Philadelphia under Chip Kelly’s system, which Doug Pederson adopted a lot of the concepts and kept them into place. This is a very odd year. Dallas and Dak Prescott, Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay, those teams aren’t going to be there. This is the year you can have a backup and I believe the Eagles will pull that off."
That’s good enough for us. At least, we can say that for now.
