It looks like the Philadelphia Eagles may be bringing back a familiar face.

The Philadelphia Eagles have been very open to reunions as of late. Earlier in the week, they signed defensive end, Bryan Braman. Now it look’s like they may be bringing back wide receiver Bryce Treggs. If you can remember, Treggs has been a fan favorite for the last year or so despite being no more than a practice squad contributor.

The second-year speedster has been on and off with the Eagles for quite some time now. They claimed him in early September of 2016 after the San Francisco 49ers waived him. Since then, Treggs has been called up from the Eagles practice squad, waived from the team and signed by the Cleveland Browns off of the Eagles practice squad.

Although Treggs was admired by the Philadelphia fan base, Eagles fans were happy to see him find a home in a main roster spot. Unfortunately, his time in Cleveland did not last very long. The Browns announced that they have cut Treggs on Wednesday night, making a free agent. Not even 24-hours later, Treggs is back in Philadelphia showing face at the Nova Care Complex.

Is Treggs coming back?

Waiting for a word…

Eagles rookie cornerback Sidney Jones shared a video of Treggs back in the Eagles facility. There is no official word yet on a possible signing, but this pretty much confirms that he may indeed be back. Treggs will most likely be utilized on the Eagles practice squad once again as he is very familiar with the system.

The Eagles currently have six receivers on the active roster. Although Shelton Gibson is hardly ever active, they still keep him deep on the depth chart. Treggs, who had a solid preseason with the Eagles logging 12 catches for 141 yards seemed like he would make the active roster.

Unfortunately, he did not show enough contribution to special teams to keep him on board. One thing is for sure, though, Eagles fans are happy to have him back. Now maybe the Eagles can work out a Paul Turner reunion as well. Now we’re talking!
