Philadelphia Eagles: 5 players to watch against the Dallas Cowboys
Nick Foles, QB
At some point during this season, we all knew Nick Foles would be playing in the final game of the regular season. We just did not know that he would be starting for the Eagles moving forward as well. Ever since Carson Wentz went down with a torn ACL, Foles was handed the keys to the offense and will be responsible for leading this team throughout the 2017 playoffs.
On a positive note, Foles is 2-0 so far as the starter this season. But looking back at his Week 16 performance, Foles has plenty of work to do. Don’t be surprised if he ends up being one of the last starters to come off the field on Sunday. Pederson and the coaching staff know that Foles needs all the valuable reps he can get to be able to form a nice rhythm in the offense.
Expect Foles to play at least two quarters. The Eagles will likely treat this as a preseason game for the offense. After all, they did not move the ball well at all last week. If they want any shot of making a deep playoff run, they have to get the offense going. It starts with Foles under center.
