Philadelphia Eagles players react to their NFC divisional victory
Just in case you haven’t heard, the Philadelphia Eagles advance to the NFC Championship with a victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
There were four quarters and 60 minutes of game time, and the Philadelphia Eagles would need every single ounce of each to dispose of the Atlanta Falcons and advance to the NFC Championship Game. The first part of their postseason mission has been accomplished. Phase two is scheduled for Sunday, January 21st.
The entire Eagles fan base is on fire, and so are the guys who actually play the game. We’ve seen electrifying pregame teasers. There have been appearances by future NFL Hall of Fame inductee Brian Dawkins. Then, sometime after Matt Ryan‘s final pass attempt of the season to Julio Jones fell harmlessly to the turf, time expired. Then, dog masks began to make an appearance.
It hasn’t been this fun to be an Eagles fan in a while.

Defensive end Brandon Graham had one heck of a night on Saturday. Eagles fans have come to expect quality play from the former 13th-overall selection. In a world where most of us play fantasy football, some may look at the stat line from Philly’s most recent NFC Divisional Game and say that two combined tackles doesn’t qualify as a great night, but Graham’s influence was felt all night. Just ask Matt Ryan.
Here’s what ‘BG’ had to say.

Eagles cornerback Jalen Mills made his impact as well. Every Eagles fan will always remember where they were when Ryan’s final incomplete pass resulted in a roar from the fans of Lincoln Financial Field and Mills spread his wings like a single engine and ran around the Eagles’ home turf.

We could do this all day, but as much as we’d like to keep celebrating this one, there’s still more football to be played. The Eagles have to start preparing for their next opponent, and that means we’ll probably start discussing the running game again. Jay Ajayi was probably expected to carry the rock more than 15 times against Atlanta, but one thing’s certain. He’ll be needed yet again to take the pressure off of Eagles quarterback Nick Foles.
It’s only right that we get a final word from the ‘Jay Train’, so make sure you check this one out.
